 "SHRINK TO FIT"  is the title of my artwork inscribed on the crayon.

SHRINK TO FIT is one of the artworks I created in my first year of working with Crayola Crayons and it was a major breakthrough for me in developing technique. I still own the original. I had 4 or 5 pair of Levi jeans spread out around my drawing table so I could take a closer look at the denim to see how it faded, examine the stitching, the different colors of blues, where they were worn the most and to capture that leather patch on the waistband.  I titled it SHRINK TO FIT because that is what we did back then when we bought a new pair of Levi Jeans, wash and wear them until they would shrink to fit!
