  • July 2007, Bobbi Hancock in Virginia says: "I just want to say thank you for sending me your video. It is wonderful. I can't begin to tell you how great your art is. I also want to thank you for making it possible others can learn from you. I hope you will continue to publish your technique and your work."

  • December 2007 Karen Marhall in Kentucky says: I watched Jeffrey's Techniques DVD and DVD #1 of the Shiny Red Apple. I'm quite impressed. No wonder his crayon drawings are so beautiful as it is evident from watching the two DVDs thus far that he spends a great deal of time insuring that his drawings are well covered. I plan to watch the 2nd DVD of the Shiny Red Apple tonight after I get off work! I'm a senior citizen still having to work for a living to make ends meet but I'm still a kid at heart and remember the smell of those crayons! :)Thank you so very much for sharing your artistic expertise with the rest of us wannabe artists. I'm 63 and still hope to create something of value to leave to my children. Maybe it will be done with crayons thanks to you and your generosity.

  • 2008 Carla Hay in Texas says: I enjoyed shiney red apple dvd

  • February 2009, Sherrie in Hawaii says: "Just printed out the workbook for my 90 year old mom.  It is just what she was looking for!!!!!"

COLORING LAHAINA

My first original of Maui was inspired by a visit to Kamehameha Beach in Lahaina, next to the harbor, which is one of my favorite places to surf. The lefts there can be pretty fast and fun for a regular footer like me. On this particular day I took several photos of the beach and water, then combined them with my imagination and crayons to create a piece of art that portrays what paradise "feels like"... the air in Lahaina is always invigorating and the atmosphere is alive with happy people everywhere. I can usually count on the sun shining and the weather being just perfect!  I titled the piece LAHAINA and framed it in my signature floating crayon frame design with the title printed on the crayon wrapper serving as a nameplate for the artwork.  The original is available at Images Fine Art Gallery in Lahaina.
